Martin Kaymer Golf Swing
When it comes to the top young players in the world, perhaps no one has more potential than 2010 PGA Championship winner Martin Kaymer. Kaymer is the quiet German, and while he may not chat it up like many of the players on tour, he lets his golf clubs do plenty of the talking.
It has been 15 years since Germany’s Bernhard Langer won his last Masters, and only one other countryman, Alex Cejka, has even played in the event since then. That’s reason enough to note that Germany’s Martin Kaymer is in this year’s Masters field. But don’t be shocked if he isn’t content to just drive down Magnolia Lane.
“You’ve got to watch this kid play,” says Ernie Els. “He’s going to be something, I promise you. He’s long. He’s got a great touch. You’ll see a lot of him.” Says renowned swing coach Peter Cowen: “Martin is a bit raw, but he’s the real thing.”
Martin Kaymer has a very powerful golf swing, but more than anything he does a great job of limiting the amount of moving body parts in his golf swing. If you are looking for a simple golf swing that you can model, then Martin Kaymer’s golf swing is certainly one that you can try emulating.
“From day one, I began preaching to anyone who would listen: ‘These are the swings that 95% of men should copy, not the swings on the PGA Tour,’” wrote Christianson. “Some guys scoffed. Some, however — likely the ones most secure in their own sexuality — nodded in agreement.”
“Do you know how many 6′0″, 200 lb. men would love to average 255 yards off the tee, especially as straight as Kerr hits it?” Christianson asked readers. “(And you know how many guys have embarrassed themselves in pro-ams trying to out-drive her? Get over yourselves, gentlemen.)”
How does a shorter, less muscular woman attain such distance? It’s all about the timing. “If you want to learn about tempo, about using every ounce of energy and speed you create in your swing to its fullest effect,” Christianson concluded “watch the women.” So, the next time someone says you swing like a girl, say “Thanks!”
